Alongside the Defender 130 V8 variant, Land Rover has revealed the new Defender 130 Outbound Edition for international markets. The company's model lineup of Defender 130 now comprises the standard Defender 130, the Defender 130 V8, and the Defender 130 Outbound. For those unaware, the standard Defender 130 along with the Defender 90, and the Defender 110 are available for purchase in the home market. The Outbound Edition allows large or small equipment to be carried while exploring any terrain as it comes with up to 2,516 litres of boot space and a near-flat loadspace floor. It gets a 5-seat configuration, whereas the V8 version has a three-row layout with room for up to 8 people.
On top of these additions, the company also introduced the County exterior pack for the Defender 110 in SE and HSE derivatives, offering enhanced personalisation. The Defender 110 now offers illuminated tread plates with county graphics, 20-inch alloy wheels finished in Gloss White, and interior upholstery & trim options, besides providing county graphics along the doors and body panels.
Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound: Design, Engine & More
The newly introduced Outbound Edition gets two engine options - a P400 petrol engine and an Ingenium D300 diesel engine. Both engines come equipped with mild-hybrid technology that offers optimum performance and efficiency.
The exterior elements of the 130 Outbound include Shadow Atlas Matt finish on bumpers and grille inserts, Anthracite work on side vents, and body-coloured rear panels & D-pillars. It rolls on 20-inch Gloss Black wheels. In terms of colour options, customers can opt for either Fuji White, Santorini Black, Carpathian Grey, or Eiger Grey.

As for its interior, prospective buyers have the liberty to choose between Windsor leather and Resist fabric material options that are done in Ebony. On offer is also an Ebony Morzine headliner and a signature cross-car beam in Satin Black. Besides, the car gets rubber floor mats that allow you to prevent the bumper from minor damages. The feature list of the Outbound model includes a 4x4 system with Terrain Response, electronic air suspension and adaptive dynamics as standard, and advanced off-roading technologies to explore all kinds of terrain. Its air suspension system is claimed to offer up to 430mm of articulation and 900mm of wading.
Land Rover Defender 130 V8: Design, Engine & More
The V8 version of the Land Rover Defender 130 draws power from a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that churns out 486bhp of maximum power. The Defender 130 V8 uses the same engine that is similar to the one found on the Defender 90 and the Defender 110. It is claimed that the V8 model can sprint from a standstill to 100km/h in just 5.4 seconds.
Moving to its exterior, the Land Rover Defender 130 V8 is offered in only Carpathian Grey or Santorini Black to maintain its exclusivity. It gets a sliding panoramic roof with black contrast, matrix LED headlights with DRLs (daytime running lights), darkened taillamps, and unique quad outboard-mounted exhausts.

On the inside, the car sports 14-way heated and cooled electric driver memory seats, which are done in Ebony Windsor Leather with Dinamica suede cloth and Robustec fabric. Then, the car has a suede cloth heated steering wheel, Ebony Morzine headliner, and Defender's signature cross-car beam in Satin Black. Besides, it gets climate seats in the second row and heated seats in the third row. Feature-wise, the 130 V8 is available with 4-zone climate control, a head-up display, a Meridian sound system in the second row, an interactive driver display, an 11.4-inch glass touchscreen with OTA updates, standard wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless device charging, and cabin air purification plus.
