The price range of the Land Rover Defender SUV has been updated, with the prices now starting at Rs 1.04 crore and reaching up to Rs 1.57 crore. The previous range was Rs 92.70 lakh to Rs 2.85 crore.

The Land Rover Defender along with the Range Rover Evoque accounted for over 50 per cent sales growth, with the former emerging as the highest-selling model in Q1 FY2025.

Land Rover has also unveiled the Sedona Edition, which is based on the Defender 110. It gets the Defender 130's Sedona Red paint job, as well as Sedona Red accents on the luggage carriers.

The Land Rover Defender Octa will be the most powerful Defender with a twin-turbocharged, mild-hybrid V8 engine. It is due to be revealed on July 3.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India sold 4,436 vehicles, representing a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 81 per cent for the year ended March 31, 2024.

Like the Range Rover Sport SV, the Defender Octa will come with Land Rover's 6D Dynamics suspension system, which is said to give an unparalleled breadth of capability, comfort and composure, whether on-road or off-road.

In the first quarter of the financial year 2023-24, JLR India sold 1,048 units, which is more than twice the number of units it retailed during the corresponding period in 2022-23.

The V8 version of the Land Rover Defender 130 draws power from a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that churns out 486bhp of maximum power. While the Outbound Edition gets a P400 petrol engine and an Ingenium D300 diesel engine, equipped with mild-hybrid technology.

The Land Rover Defender 130 is the longest Defender yet, with seating for eight while retaining the ability to do some serious off-roading. The Defender 130 should make its India debut soon.

The Land Rover Defender 130 will be longer than the 110 variant and will offer seating for eight with three usable seats in the third row. We expect the Defender 130 India launch to follow soon after the international unveil on May 31.
