Land Rover India launches the Defender Octa at Rs 2.59 crore (ex-showroom), available only in the 110 body style. The 'Edition One' variant, priced the same, comes with exclusive upgrades but is limited to the first year of production. It runs on a 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine, producing 626 hp and 800 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Defender ever. The Octa also features a 6D Dynamics suspension system with pitch and roll control for better driving performance. Marketed as the most rugged, capable, and luxurious Defender yet, it sets a new benchmark for performance SUVs in India.

Land Rover Defender Octa: Design and Interior
The Land Rover Defender Octa stands out with its unique design and performance upgrades. It features wider wheel arches, a redesigned grille for better cooling, a strong rear bumper with a quad-tip active exhaust, and reinforced underbody protection with an aluminium front skid plate. It also comes with the largest production-spec tyres ever fitted to a Defender, boosting its off-road capability.
Inside, the Octa offers luxury and advanced tech. It has performance seats with 3D-knit fabric, integrated headrests, and improved bolstering, wrapped in Burnt Sienna semi-aniline leather. The cabin includes an 11.4-inch touchscreen, a centre console refrigerator, and Body and Soul Seat audio technology. This system uses haptic motors synced with the music to create a unique sensory experience.

The Land Rover Defender Octa redefines performance with its 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid engine. It delivers 626bhp and 750Nm of torque, boosted to 800Nm in Dynamic Launch mode, making it the most powerful Defender ever. Despite its 2.5-tonne weight, it accelerates from 0-100kmph in just four seconds, making it the fastest Defender yet.

Built for tough off-road conditions, the Octa features larger wheels with all-terrain tyres and reinforced underbody protection. It offers greater water-wading depth and sits 28mm taller and 68mm wider than standard Defenders, boosting its stability. The Octa also has upgraded brakes for better control, ensuring safe and confident performance.
