Toyota has launched the Hilux in India, a couple of months after they revealed the pick-up truck. It is a diesel-only offering with the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross being its only rival. However, the Toyota Hilux also squares off against large 7-seater SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq due to its high price tag. Essentially, the Hilux shared its chassis and powertrain with the Fortuner. However, when it comes to design, features and the interior to an extent, the two cars are very different.
