For our 16th anniversary special, we head to the Buddh International Circuit for our annual mega test. In the cars category, we had a total of 27 contenders battling it out for the coveted ‘Best of 2022’ title. From 800+bhp Ferrari 296 GTB to the paradigm-shifting Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 to the humble Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, we had a diverse mix of cars as always. Apart from the EQS, a lot of other EVs featured in this year’s jury round, including the likes of the BMW i4 & iX, Volvo XC40 Recharge, Kia EV6, and BYD E6. On the other hand, the SUV craze is still going strong, which is why we had everything from the uber luxurious Range Rover Autobiography to the hardcore Mahindra Scorpio-N. Then, there were a couple of hybrids making a strong case for themselves. These included the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda City HEV, and Lexus NX 350h. The Skoda Slavia, VW Virtus, Hyundai Tucson, Venue Diesel, Maruti Baleno, Brezza, Toyota Glanza, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Jeep Meridian were among some of the other contenders.
