According to the company, the Ridge + has a range of 120 kilometres on a full charge. It can also reach a top speed of 55km/h, as we found out on the track. Needless to say, it was the slowest by a mile. In fact, it was so slow that we didn’t even consider its lap time when awarding points. But, then, this isn’t exactly meant to scorch the racetrack – it’s meant for short city commutes.
In terms of styling and design, the Ridge + looks fresh and modern, but on closer inspection there are some quality concerns, such as the use of poor-quality plastics. However, the drivetrain is incredibly smooth, and feels very nice on the run.
It’s also an incredibly light scooter, which handles very well. In the city, it’s an easily manoeuvrable scooter and almost anyone will be comfortable on it.
Overall, the Ridge + is a good product for someone who wants an entry-level electric scooter. But it is slow, expensive and has some serious quality issues. On a positive note, the Ridge + comes with e-ABS.
