VCARB's Yuki Tsunoda will start the 2024 F1 Belgian Grand Prix from the back of the grid due to grid penalties for taking on a new Honda power unit ahead of the weekend.
Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo will continue to race for AlphaTauri in 2024, with Liam Lawson serving as a reserve driver for both the Italian squad and Red Bull. As of now, Ricciardo is recovering from his wrist injury, while Liam continues to race for the team until Ricciardo can return.
Yuki Tsunoda will be driving a Honda NSX GT3 Evo in the Red Bull event. Across a wide variety of racing series, this car has consistently placed top. Following the Red Bull Nurburgring demonstration, Tsunoda will become the youngest driver to complete the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
There have been rumours that Tsunoda will join the Aston Martin Honda team in 2026 and that he is a prospective driver for the team. The head of Honda Racing, Koji Watanabe, has verified the rumours.
