With the Bentley Continental GT, the renowned W12 engine made its debut in 2003, producing 552bhp and 649.52Nm. It had a production run of 100,000 units over two decades.

To honour the potent W12 engine that has been the motivation behind its high-performance flagship vehicles, Bentley has produced a special edition known as the Speed Edition 12. Seats with Mulliner Silver piping and an embroidered Edition 12 namestyle are its unique features.

The iconic W12 petrol engine will no longer be produced by Bentley starting in April 2024, according to the company's announcement. The decision to discontinue the W12 is a part of its "Beyond100" strategy, which calls for the complete electrification of its entire model lineup by 2030.
