Volkswagen has just confirmed that a near-production-spec version of the new Beetle is about to hit the floors at the upcoming 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. However, this time, the Beetle has gone electric and is reborn as the e-Beetle!

Despite being in production for more than 80 years, from 1938 to 2019, there have only been three generations of the iconic Volkswagen Beetle. VW brought the new Beetle into India in 2015 and discontinued it in 2018.

Volkswagen of America had announced sometime back that the third-generation of the iconic Beetle will be its last as its production will come to an end in 2019. As the Beetle has a major cult following in markets like the United States.
