With the automotive slowdown and the novel coronavirus hugely impacting sales, Triumph Motorcycles India has announced that it will defer the rise in the cost of BS6 vehicles until July 2020.

In an official statement, Triumph Motorcycles India has announced that it will defer the increase in the price of the BS-VI compliant Bonneville range until July 2020. This means that&nbsp;the updated Bonneville motorcycles will be on sale at BS-IV rates. The entry-level Street Twin is priced at Rs 7.45 lakh, and its off-road iteration, the Street Scrambler continues to demand Rs 8.55 lakh. Sitting marginally above that is the Bonneville T100, which is priced at Rs 8.87 lakh. At the top of the Bonneville range are the new Speed Twin and the Scrambler 1200 with a sticker price of Rs 9.46 lakh and Rs 10.73 lakh, respectively. All prices ex-showroom.

Speaking about the Triumph’s BS-VI models, Shoeb Farooq, General Manager, Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt Ltd, said, 'Triumph prepared well in advance for the BSIV to BSVI transition. We don’t have any unsold BSIV inventories, and we will have ensured robust BSVI availability. In the next 2 months, Triumph will have strong representation across all segments with BSVI compliant motorcycles”.

Although the British bikemaker had a larger portfolio in India, currently, a lot of its models are due for an update. The all-new Tiger 900 will make its way to India later this year, and <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/2020-triumph-street-triple-rs-launch-on-22nd-april-107652/">the 2020 Street Triple RS will be launched tomorrow</a>. Meanwhile, <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/2020-triumph-rocket-3-r-launched-106953/">the Rocket 3 that was brought into India as a CBU in December 2019</a>, has already been sold out. Triumph is expected to bring in more units sometime in June.

Triumph has also announced that it will extend the warranties of all motorcycles that are due to expire between 20th March and 3rd May. The warranty period has been extended until 30th June.
