Piaggio has announced the launch of new scooters in India. Among these scooters will be the Aprilia Typhoon and a Vespa Touring Edition. The complete line-up of Aprilia and Vespa scooters will now be equipped with a new i-GET engine for enhanced acceleration and grade ability.

The Aprilia SR 150 has been replaced by the SR 160 and is priced at Rs 85,431. Meanwhile, Piaggio has also plonked the same motor in the entire Vespa range and it now starts at Rs 91, 492 (prices are ex-showroom, Pune).

Starting from 2019, Piaggio India has equipped the entire range of Vespa and Aprilia scooters with either Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) or Combined Braking System (CBS), in line with the ruling by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on the upgrading of two-wheeler safety norms.

Piaggio has introduced an all-black limited edition version of the Vespa priced at ₹68,845 (ex-showroom, Pune). This limited edition scooter features an all-black finish, with a matte black paint, black leather seat, blacked out 11-inch rims, rear view mirrors, grab rails and a simple badge.
