<p>Yokohama, the Japanese tyre manufacturer, has introduced the X-AT and M/T G003 tyres in its Geolander series. The former slots between all-terrain and mud-terrain tyres and benefits from 'superior traction and stability' in both on- and off-road conditions, thanks to its all-terrain capabilities. Meanwhile, the latter is better suited for mud and slush and is claimed to provide unparalleled traction in the most challenging off-road conditions. They allow drivers to navigate through muddy and rough terrains and to deal with steep inclines, courtesy of their rugged design and advanced tread pattern.</p>

<p>These next-generation tyres are designed for off-roading and, therefore, are made from wear- and side-cut-resistant material, featuring a new compound and sidewall design. These tyres are made using the company's innovative technology, which, according to Yokohama, allows for superior durability and performance, a longer lifespan, and reduced risk of punctures or damage.</p>

<p>The Geolandar X-AT and the Geolandar M/T G003 adhere to the general specifications required for off-roading and come in all sizes, with an M+S (Mud and Snow) rating and Rim Protector, offering added protection against curb damage and abrasions.</p>

<h2>Yokohama's 'E+' Mark Now Features on Buses, Trucks, and More</h2>

<p>The unveiling of these tyres comes following Yokohama's introduction of the proprietary 'E+' mark on its tyres designed for trucks and buses and the application of the E+ marking on passenger car tyres in the latter half of 2023. <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/industry-news/yokohama-unviells-e-mark-tyre-for-electric-vehicles-113923/">Yokohama's E+ mark</a> must meet specific requirements to cater to the unique demands of electrified vehicles, including the ability to withstand increased loads resulting from heavy electric batteries and the electric motor's high torque output.</p>

<p>Yokohama claims that it has already begun supplying its tyres as original equipment (OE) for several electrified vehicles, including premium cars like the BMW iX3, Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+, <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/2024-lexus-rz-gets-more-affordable-front-wheel-drive-300e-model-claims-428km-range-115631/">Lexus RZ</a>, crossover SUVs like the Toyota bZ4X and Subaru's Solterra, and even mini-vehicles like Nissan's Sakura and Mitsubishi Motors' eK X EV.</p>
