Royal Enfield Classic 650 India Launch on March 27
The upcoming bike will be the sixth addition to the brand’s 650cc lineup in India, joining models such as the Interceptor, Continental GT, Super Meteor, Shotgun, and Bear.

The long-awaited Royal Enfield Classic 650 is set to go on sale in India on March 27, 2025. It will be the sixth model to join the brand’s 650cc range in India, which includes the Interceptor, Continental GT, Super Meteor, Shotgun, and Bear. The Classic 650 will be offered in four colours: Red, Blue, Teal, and Black Chrome. It is expected to be priced similarly to its 650cc counterparts, the Super Meteor and Shotgun, which are priced at Rs 3.64 lakh and Rs 3.59 lakh, respectively. Royal Enfield Classic 650: Design and Features
The Classic 650 boasts the signature round headlamp with a metallic nacelle, reminiscent of the Classic 350’s front styling. The teardrop-shaped fuel tank, angular triangular side panels, twin chrome pea-shooter exhausts, and chrome accents give the bike a distinctive, standout appearance. Other notable features include wire-spoke wheels, adjustable levers, an analogue console paired with a small LCD display, LED lighting, and dual-channel ABS.

Weighing 243kg, the Classic 650 will be the heaviest Royal Enfield to date. It has a fuel tank capacity of 14.8 litres, ground clearance of 154mm, and a seat height of 800mm.
Royal Enfield Classic 650: Engine and Hardware
The Classic 650 is equipped with a 648cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 46.3bhp and 52.3Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Classic 650 shares several key components with the Shotgun 650, including the main frame and brakes. However, it sets itself apart with its 19/18-inch wire-spoke wheels, while the Shotgun features an 18/17-inch alloy wheel setup. The Classic 650 is also equipped with new MRF Nylohigh tyres for improved performance.

Both motorcycles feature the same suspension travel of 120mm at the front and 90mm at the rear. The Showa fork on the Classic 650 measures 43mm, while the twin shock absorbers are identical to those found on the Shotgun.
