Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Launched at Rs 19.05 Lakh in India, Gets Ohlins Suspension, Lighter Wheels and More
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP is about Rs 3 lakh more expensive than the RVE, which is priced at Rs 16.01 lakh (ex-showroom).
Ducati has launched the Hypermotard 950 SP, which is positioned after the RVE in the lineup, in India. Priced at Rs 19.05 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP is about Rs 3 lakh more expensive than the RVE. At this price, the Hypermotard 950 SP gets longer travel Ohlins suspension, lighter wheels, an exclusive paint scheme, and the same L-Twin engine as the RVE.
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP is also related to the RVE in terms of looks, save for the SP decals and a new design for the top-of-the-line Marchesini wheels. While the chassis and the braking hardware remain the same, the Hypermotard 950 SP boasts a longer travel Ohlins suspension setup. Compared to the RVE which uses a Marzocchi upside-down front fork and a Sachs rear monoshock, the Hypermotard 950 SP features a 48mm Ohlins upside-down front fork (with 185mm travel) and an Ohlins rear monoshock (with 175mm travel), both fully adjustable. Thanks to the increased suspension travel, the seat height of the SP stands at 890mm, an increase of 20mm over the RVE.

Braking duties on the SP are handled by radially-mounted dual 320mm front discs with Brembo monoblock callipers and a 245mm rear disc with a 2-piston calliper. The SP is fitted with lighter, forged Marchesini aluminium wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres, whereas the RVE comes with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres. As a result, the kerb weight (without fuel) of the SP stands at 191kg, down by 2kg.
Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP: Engine, Electronic Aids
Powering the Hypermotard 950 SP is the same 937cc L-twin engine as the RVE. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine produces 112bhp and 96Nm of peak torque. Electronic aids include cornering ABS (anti-lock braking system), wheelie control, slide-by-brake, a quickshifter (as standard), a slipper clutch, and riding modes (Sport, Touring, and Urban).
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP is the third offering after the RVE and the Hypermotard 698 Mono in the lineup. Launched in July 2024, the 698 Mono uses a 659cc, liquid-cooled, short-stroke, single-cylinder Superquadro Mono engine, which makes 76bhp at 9,750rpm and 63Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm while being mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.
