Royal Enfield says the all-weather products get detachable liners, advanced armours,&nbsp;and extensive adjustability to ensure optimal performance and safety.&nbsp;

The new apparel collection is&nbsp;split&nbsp;into two product lines&nbsp;– Sahara Air and Darcha Pro. The former set includes the Sahara H20 riding jacket with CE certification to 'Class AA' as well as gloves constructed with&nbsp;durable mesh stretch fabrics and a TPR knuckle protector.&nbsp;Price-wise, the&nbsp;Sahara H20 is available at Rs 26,990, while the gloves engineered for summer rides can be had at Rs 8,990. The gloves are CE-certified to Class KP1.&nbsp;

Designed for optimal movement, the Darcha Pro riding jacket flaunts&nbsp;SEEFLEX CE-Level 2 protection at the shoulders and elbows. Plus, it&nbsp;sports reflective detailing for enhanced visibility. It is priced higher&nbsp;than the Sahara H20 jacket&nbsp;at Rs 29,990.

Along with the jacket, the Darcho Pro line of products also includes&nbsp;riding trousers featuring a detachable thermal line for cold days and&nbsp;a hydratex waterproof liner for rain, as well as&nbsp;gloves that come with&nbsp;a new TPR knuckle protector and sliders for enhanced protection. These gloves are&nbsp;touchscreen-compatible and cost you Rs 10,990. As for&nbsp;the trousers, interested buyers will have to shell out&nbsp;Rs 22,990.&nbsp;

Brixton Motorcycles, the Austria-based brand, has taken the wraps off its&nbsp;four motorcycles with modern-retro styling&nbsp;– the Cromwell 1200X, Cromwell 1200, Crossfire 500X, and the Crossfire 500XC. The first two are bigger-capacity 1,200cc, twin-cylinder motorcycles, while the latter two are based on the 500cc platform. All four Brixton motorcycles, which will be brought to India as&nbsp;completely knocked-down units,&nbsp;are set to launch in the country during this festive season. They will be assembled at KAW Veloce Motors' factory&nbsp;in Kolhapur (Maharashtra),&nbsp;indicating that the bikes will likely be more expensive than their European counterparts. Now, let's delve into the details of each:

The first model on the list is a 1,200cc urban scrambler with a seat height of 800mm. Called the&nbsp;Brixton Cromwell 1200X, it uses a&nbsp;1,222cc twin-cylinder&nbsp;liquid-cooled engine which develops&nbsp;82bhp at 6,250rpm and 108Nm of peak torque at 3,100rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.&nbsp;

For suspension, the&nbsp;Brixton Cromwell 1200X gets a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock, both sourced from KYB. The bike rolls on 18-inch spoked wheels wrapped in&nbsp;tubeless block-pattern tyres. It tips the scales at 235kg (kerb). In the European market, it can be had at Rs 10.32 lakh in terms of pricing.&nbsp;

<h2>Brixton Cromwell 1200</h2>

Next is the&nbsp;Brixton Cromwell 1200, a retro-roadster with the same mechanical components as the Cromwell&nbsp;1200X. Even it gets the same spoked wheels, although with more road-focused tubeless tyres. This one is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh in Europe.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Brixton Crossfire 500X</h2>

Coming to 500cc <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/">motorcycles</a>, the&nbsp;Brixton Crossfire 500X is a cafe racer featuring a rugged setup. Powering the bike is a 486cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine produces 47bhp at&nbsp;8,500rpm and 43Nm of peak torque at 6,750rpm. Hardware-wise, the&nbsp;Crossfire 500X employs&nbsp;a compression-adjustable upside-down front fork as well as&nbsp;a rear monoshock with preload and rebound adjustability. It comes with 120-section front and 160-section rear tyres wrapped around 17-inch wheels. Carrying a price tag of Rs 6.28 lakh in Europe, the bike weighs 190kg (kerb) and has a claimed mileage of 25km/l.&nbsp;

<h2>Brixton Crossfire 500XC</h2>

The&nbsp;Brixton Crossfire 500XC is a scrambler having the same engine as the 500X. The front end of the bike is compression adjustable (150mm travel), while the rear features preload and rebound&nbsp;adjustability (130mm travel).&nbsp;The bike rides on a 19-17-inch spoked wheel combination with 110-section front and 150-section rear tyres. It has a seat height of 839mm and a kerb weight of 195kg. European buyers will have to shell out&nbsp;Rs 6.91 lakh for the bike.

Also, the company's new automated shift assistant is said to create&nbsp;an even more direct link to the powerful boxer engine, as the precise clutch actuation makes it even easier to control the riding experience through the throttle grip and gearshift lever. While the company has yet to reveal which motorcycles will offer this ASA, its mention of the 'boxer engine' implies that this will be used on the R line of motorcycles, including ADVs and&nbsp;retro roadsters.&nbsp;&nbsp;

BMW Automated Shift Assistant Introduced for Clutchless Operations

BMW Motorrad has introduced its new automated shift assistant (ASA), 'an innovative technical solution' that uses two electromechanical actuators to automate the clutch and gear shifts in the 6-speed transmission.

TVS Motor Company, the Chennai-based two- and three-wheeler manufacturer,&nbsp;has registered a 25 per cent increase&nbsp;in their total sales in April 2024.&nbsp;It&nbsp;sold&nbsp;3,83,615&nbsp;vehicles (two-wheelers +&nbsp;three-wheelers) in April 2024&nbsp;against 3,06,224&nbsp;units in the corresponding period of last year. Of these&nbsp;total units, the sales of two-wheelers comprised 3,74,592 units, whereas the remaining 9,023 units constituted&nbsp;total three-wheeler sales. The Chennai-based manufacturer's domestic market wholesales in April 2024 comprised&nbsp;3,01,449 two-wheelers, up 29 per cent year-on-year. On the&nbsp;exports&nbsp;front, TVS shipped 73,143 two-wheelers to foreign markets, denoting an 18 per cent increase over 61,830 units exported&nbsp;in April 2023.&nbsp;

TVS' cumulative sales&nbsp;at 3,83,615 units were up&nbsp;25 per cent year-on-year (April 2023: 306,224 units).&nbsp;More than 1,88,000 (188,110,&nbsp;to be precise) motorcycles went on sale during April&nbsp;2024, compared&nbsp;to 1,52,365&nbsp;samples in April&nbsp;2023, registering a growth of 24&nbsp;per cent. Whereas scooters represented a&nbsp;34 per cent growth to 1,44,126&nbsp;units in April 2024, TVS reported selling 17,403 electric vehicles (EVs) last month, 'indicating continued robust demand' led by the iQube. In April 2024, EV sales stood at 6,227 units.

Speaking of electric vehicles, TVS retails its&nbsp;two electric offerings in India: the iQube and the X. The former gets&nbsp;3.4kWh and 4.5kWh battery packs, with&nbsp;claimed real-world&nbsp;ranges of 100km and 145km and top speeds of 78km/h and 82km/h, respectively. Both packs have&nbsp;an IP67 rating&nbsp;for dust and water resistance, and are paired with a 6bhp hub-mounted motor. Meanwhile, the latter uses&nbsp;a 4.44kWh battery&nbsp;linked to an 15bhp motor, resulting in a claimed range of 140km. The top speed is marked at&nbsp;105km/h.

Price-wise, the TVS iQube ranges from&nbsp;Rs 1.47 lakh for the base version to Rs 1.56 lakh for the S variant, whereas the TVS X carries a price tag of Rs 2.50 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom.&nbsp;

TVS Motor Company Domestic Two-Wheeler YoY Sales up by 29% in April 2024, More Than 3 Lakh Units Sold

TVS Motor Company sold 3,83,615 vehicles (2W+3W) in April 2024 compared to 3,06,224 units in the corresponding period of last year, registering a 25 per cent increase.

Royal Enfield, the Chennai-based bikemaker, has reported a 12&nbsp;per cent increase in total sales at&nbsp;81,870 units in April 2024. It sold&nbsp;73,136 motorcycles in the year-ago period (April 2023). On&nbsp;the exports front, the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) saw sales rise to 6,832 units last month from 4,255 units in the corresponding period of the last financial year. Its domestic market wholesales in April 2024 stood at 75,038 units, an increase of 9 per cent year-on-year (68,881&nbsp;units: April&nbsp;2023).&nbsp;In terms of year-to-date (YTD) sales, Royal Enfield sold a total of&nbsp;2,79,560 motorcycles during the&nbsp;January-April 2024 period, representing a year-on-year growth of 7 per cent.&nbsp;

Royal Enfield's 350cc motorcycles, including the&nbsp;Bullet 350, Classic 350, Hunter 350, and Meteor 350, accounted for nearly 90 per cent of sales. Whereas the 350cc Royal Enfields surpassed the 70,000-unit (72,866 units, in total) sales mark&nbsp;in April 2024, the sales of 411cc-engined motorcycles and above comprised&nbsp;9,004 units.&nbsp;

Royal Enfield Rentals and Tours Programme Introduced in Over 25 Countries

The Royal Enfield Rentals and Tours services allow riders to rent a motorcycle from a wide range of products across 60+ destinations in 25+ countries, including India, France, Italy, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, Peru, Argentina, Indonesia, Thailand, Morocco, Namibia, South Africa, and Bhutan.

Honda Motorcycle &amp; Scooter India (HMSI) has disclosed its sales figures for March 2024. The company posted total sales of&nbsp;3,86,455 units, marking an 82 per cent year-over-year increase. Of&nbsp;the total units,&nbsp;domestic sales stood at 3,58,151 units and exports at&nbsp;28,304 units. The former recorded an&nbsp;81% year-over-year&nbsp;growth in March FY2024, while the latter grew&nbsp;95 per cent&nbsp;over the corresponding&nbsp;period of FY2023.&nbsp;For the financial year 2023-24, HMSI reported total sales of&nbsp;48,93,522 units, up from&nbsp;43,50,943 units retailed in the financial year 2022-23.

HMSI's overall growth can be attributed primarily to the Activa, the company's bestselling scooter. Within a year after it sold more than 3 crore units of the Activa in the country, HMSI announced a major milestone of&nbsp;delivering over&nbsp;6 crore (60 million) two-wheelers across India. Of which, the Activa accounted for 53 per cent of HMSI's cumulative sales since 2001. Moreover, the company had <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/honda-activa-achieves-3-crore-sales-mark-in-india-113728/">announced a&nbsp;3 crore unit sales</a> milestone for the scooter&nbsp;in June 2023.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

In terms of mechanicals, the Honda Activa gets two engine options – a 109.51cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit with 7.68bhp and 8.79Nm and a 124cc air-cooled mill with 8.1bhp and 10.4Nm. The scooter ranges from Rs 76,234 for the standard version to Rs 88,979 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Activa 125 H-Smart. In the segment,&nbsp;the Honda Activa rivals the TVS Jupiter, Hero Pleasure Plus, Hero Maestro Edge, and Hero Xoom.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India's domestic sales recorded an 81% year-over-year growth in March 2024 with 3,58,151 units, while its exports grew 95 per cent at 28,304 units.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has reported overall sales of 97,435 units, a growth of 38&nbsp;per cent in February 2024 over the corresponding period of the last financial year.&nbsp;Last month's&nbsp;domestic sales accounted for 83,304 units, an increase from 52,451 units sold in February 2023. However,&nbsp;exports declined, with sales going&nbsp;from 18,170 units to 14,131 units in February 2024.&nbsp;Also, a look at the January 2024 sales performance tells us that the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation closed January 2024&nbsp;with&nbsp;cumulative sales of&nbsp;95,762 units, posting a 13 per cent&nbsp;increase over the corresponding period of the last financial year.&nbsp;Of these sales, the company sold&nbsp;&nbsp;80,511&nbsp;units within the domestic market&nbsp;while exporting 15,251 units globally during the same month.

<h2>Suzuki Access 125 Hits 10 Lakh Unit Production Milestone</h2>

The 10,00,000th model to roll off the line is the Suzuki Access 125, featuring a dual-tone Pearl Shining Beige colour&nbsp;scheme. The Suzuki Access 125, first introduced in September 2007,&nbsp;comes powered by&nbsp;a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.58bhp at 6,750rpm and 10Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The scooter is available in three variants in the Indian market&nbsp;– Standard, Special Edition, and Ride Connect, priced at Rs 79,899 for the Drum Brake, Rs 85,800 for the Disc Brake, and Rs 90,500 for the Disc Brake with Alloy Wheel, respectively. Meanwhile, the Standard Edition Disc Brake variant costs Rs 84,300. The prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. In terms of market rivalry, it goes up against the&nbsp;TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa,&nbsp;and Yamaha Fascino in the 125cc segment.
