VR46 Ducati team has announced that current rider Luca Marini will not ride for the team in 2024, allowing Valentino Rossi's brother to dramatically join the Repsol Honda team as Marc Marquez's replacement.

Luca Marini will continue racing with the VR46 MotoGP squad in 2024 with current teammate Marco Bezzecchi. Thanks to his first-ever podium finish at the Americas GP in Austin, Marini has moved up seven spots to seventh in the standings and 125 points.
