JSW MG Motor reported an 8% year-over-year (YoY) decline in retail sales for September, with 4,588 units sold during the month. This marks a decrease from the 5,003 units sold in the same period last year. Meanwhile, the company also announced that new energy vehicles (NEVs) made up 49% of its total sales last month, highlighting their growing contribution. The British manufacturer acknowledged challenges in sales due to the Shraadh period and an extended monsoon but expressed optimism about improved market activity with the arrival of the festive season. MG Motor anticipates increased dealership footfalls and a positive market response in the coming months.

Despite the dip, MG Motor remains focused on expanding its electric vehicle lineup and enhancing customer experience to drive future growth. The brand's performance in the coming months will be closely watched as it seeks to regain momentum in the competitive Indian automobile industry.
