Sonet, Seltos, Carens, and More Help Kia Record 5% Year-on-Year Sales Growth in January
Kia sold 25,025 units in January 2025, representing a 5% growth over the 23,769 units sold during the same period in 2024.

Kia's total sales in January 2025 reached 25,025 units, a 5% increase over the 23,769 units sold in the same month last year. The Sonet remained the top seller, with 7,194 units sold, followed by the Seltos with 6,470 units. The Carens also saw good demand, with 5,522 units sold, while the Carnival maintained its appeal in the premium segment, selling 293 units. However, the recently introduced Kia Syros stole the show with a great performance in its debut month. The compact SUV sold 5,546 units, demonstrating its widespread acceptance among Indian car buyers. In terms of exports, Kia shipped 1,454 "Made in India" vehicles to 70 international markets, highlighting strong global demand for its cars.

Kia Syros: Price, Engine, and Features
Kia's new Sub-4m SUV has an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Bookings are open with a token amount of Rs 25,000, and deliveries are set to begin soon. The SUV offers two engine choices: a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol generating 118bhp and 172Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT, and a 1.5-litre diesel producing 114bhp and 250Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. It is equipped with an extensive range of safety features, including six airbags, electronic parking brake, ESC, ABS with EBD, TPMS, and Level-2 ADAS.

For comfort and convenience, the Kia Syros includes Type-C charging ports, automatic up/down windows, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dual 12.3-inch displays, and a premium Harman/Kardon eight-speaker sound system. It also offers three terrain modes —Mud, Snow/Wet, and Sand.
