The Maruti Suzuki Fronx made a significant leap from the tenth spot in January 2025 to claim the top position in February, becoming the preferred choice for many buyers. This best-selling crossover saw an impressive 51.48% year-on-year growth and an even more remarkable 41% month-on-month increase, selling over 6,000 units more than the last month. With a price range of Rs 7.52 lakh to Rs 13.04 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Fronx competes directly with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and stands as an alternative to rivals like the Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3OO. Maruti Suzuki Fronx
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx recorded sales of 21,461 units in February, surpassing last year’s total of 14,168 units. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx provides two petrol engine options: an 89bhp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT, and a 99bhp 1.0-litre turbocharged engine with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic with paddle shifters. A CNG powertrain option is also offered.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

Maruti Suzuki maintained its dominance by securing four spots on the list of top five best-selling cars in February. The Wagon R hatchback was the second model from the brand to make a notable appearance, selling 19,879 units, reflecting a significant year-on-year growth of 2.41%.

The Wagon R offers three powertrain options: two petrol variants and a Petrol-CNG version. The 1.0-litre petrol engine generates 55.92bhp and 92.1Nm, while the 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 88.5bhp and 113Nm. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission (MT) or an automated manual transmission (AMT). The hatchback is priced between Rs 5.64 lakh and Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Creta

The Hyundai Creta ranked third on the list, with 16,317 units sold, which is a year-on-year growth of 6.81%. Mechanically, the Creta has three engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol. The SUV is priced between Rs 11.11 lakh and Rs 20.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki Swift

The Swift claimed the third spot in sales last month, with a 23.58% year-on-year growth, selling 16,269 units. The hatchback has a Z-series 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 80bhp of power at 5,700rpm and 112Nm of torque at 4,300rpm and is paired with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The Swift is priced between Rs 6.49 lakh and Rs 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Despite an 11.63% year-on-year decline, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno secured the fifth position on the sales chart last month, with 15,480 units sold compared to 17,517 units in February 2024. The Baleno has a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine that generates 89bhp and 113Nm and is mated to either a five-speed manual or automatic transmission.

While running on CNG, the same unit produces 76.4bhp and 98.5Nm, paired exclusively with the manual gearbox. The price range for the Baleno is Rs 6.66 lakh to Rs 9.83 lakh (ex-showroom).
