Auto Expo 2023: Hyundai Motor India is gearing up to showcase several products at this year's Expo. With the launch of the Ioniq 5 slated for January 11, the automaker also intends to showcase upcoming models such as the Nexo and the Ioniq 6.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has in the past revealed plans of bringing in the Nexo FCV to India. With this feasibility study, they intend to evaluate the readiness of India for such a vehicle

Hyundai’s Nexo has entered the history books by becoming the first fuel cell car to score an impressive 5 Star Euro NCAP crash rating. Fully electric cars and hydrogen fuel cell cars are still relatively new products in the automotive market.

Hyundai Motor, for the fifth consecutive year, has won the Red Dot Design Award in 2018 making it a total of 10 awards to the Korean marquee. Hyundai Motors has been awarded the Red Dot Design Award for the Kona and Nexo.

The Nexo is priced between KRW 68,900,000 and 72,200,000 (~ Rs 41.64 lakh – 43.63 lakh) in South Korea. However, after local subsidies, the final effective price is expected to be around Rs. 20.50 lakh – 22.50 lakh.

Hyundai has given us the world’s first level four autonomous fuel cell propelled vehicle – the Hyundai NEXO. Hyundai Motor has stated that they plan to commercialise level 4 autonomous vehicles in smart cities by 2021 and fully autonomous driving technology by 2030.
