The Hyundai Creta electric will go on sale in India on January 17, 2025, with several features that distinguish it from the hot-selling ICE version, priced at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Here's a detailed comparison between the electric and ICE models, covering exterior and interior aspects.

Hyundai Creta Electric vs Regular Model: Exterior

The silhouette of the Creta EV closely mirrors that of the ICE variant, but there are several key changes that lend it a distinct character. For instance, the large, rectangular blacked-out grille has been swapped for a pixelated-pattern design, giving the front a more distinct EV-inspired appearance. There is a charging flap at the center of the EV’s grille, adorned with the ‘Hyundai’ logo, and the front bumper includes active air flaps that enhance aerodynamics and boost overall efficiency. However, the signature inverted L-shaped connected LED DRLs and headlights remain unchanged.

On the sides, the SUV stands out with an all-black roof, pillars, and ORVMs. Like the standard Creta, the upcoming electric version features 17-inch alloys, but these are designed for improved aerodynamics. The addition of low-rolling resistance tyres enhances battery efficiency. At the rear, the updates are minimal, including a subtly revised bumper.

Though the dashboard layout is largely unchanged between the two models, the Creta Electric sets itself apart with a stylish black-and-white colour scheme, replacing the grey-and-white theme seen in the standard Creta. The steering wheel has a 3-spoke design, instead of the traditional 4-spoke one. Compared to its standard sibling, the Creta Electric offers a clean, modern layout with seat ventilation controls, a drive mode dial, cupholders, and a drive selector behind the steering wheel for easy access.

The Creta EV and ICE models have a touch-enabled control panel for the air conditioner and vents, and two integrated screens. While the ICE edition has a soft amber glow, the Creta EV stands out with its eye-catching purple ambient lighting. However, both models feature dual-tone seat fabric, center armrests for both front and rear seats, and ventilated front seats for added comfort. They also share features such as an 8-speaker Bose sound system, two 10.25-inch screens (one for infotainment and one for instrumentation), an 8-way powered driver's seat, and a panoramic sunroof. However, the Creta Electric introduces unique features like Electric Boss Mode, and a vehicle-to-load (V2L), which are not found in the regular Creta.
