Honda XL750 Transalp

Honda has introduced a limited-time discount on its XL750 Transalp, offering savings of up to Rs 80,000. The price cut is directly applied to the motorcycle’s ex-showroom value of Rs 11 lakh and is currently in effect. The discount offer makes the adventure motorcycle more appealing to enthusiasts seeking a capable touring machine at a more competitive rate. The XL750 Transalp, positioned as a middleweight ADV, rivals models like the BMW F 850 GS and Triumph Tiger 850 Sport in the Indian market. Featuring a 755cc parallel-twin engine, advanced riding aids, and a rugged chassis designed for both on-road and off-road performance, the Transalp delivers a well-rounded adventure touring experience. With this discount, potential buyers have a chance to own Honda’s adventure tourer at a more attractive price point. Read on to find out more about the offer and its details.

Honda XL750 Transalp: Styling

The adventure tourer boasts a rugged and aggressive design, embodying true off-road capability. A closer look reveals styling cues reminiscent of the original Transalp from the 1980s, though the modern iteration brings a fresh appeal and is anticipated to be well received.

The Transalp 750 features a compact headlamp paired with an integrated windscreen, ensuring adequate rider protection on challenging terrains. Enhancing its off-road prowess, the motorcycle is fitted with gold-finished spoke wheels – 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear – wrapped in block-pattern tyres for optimal grip and stability.

Honda XL750 Transalp: Engine and Hardware

The Honda XL750 Transalp is propelled by a 755cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft, delivering 90bhp at 9,500rpm and 75Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. This powertrain is paired with a six-speed gearbox for smooth performance. To enhance durability and efficiency, the engine’s cylinders are coated with Nickel-Silicon Carbide (Ni-SiC), a technology also found in high-performance models like the CRF450R and CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.

Honda XL750 Transalp

Packed with modern technology, the XL750 Transalp offers five distinct riding modes – Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User – allowing riders to fine-tune engine response and braking characteristics. Additionally, the bike is equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), dual-channel ABS, and an assist-and-slipper clutch for improved traction and control.

In terms of hardware, the bike is equipped with Showa 43mm SFF-CA upside-down front forks and a Pro-Link rear monoshock, providing a balance of comfort and impact absorption. Braking duties are handled by dual 310mm wave discs with 2-piston hydraulic callipers at the front and a single 256mm disc with a 1-pot calliper at the rear, all complemented by dual-channel ABS as standard.

Honda XL750 Transalp: Features

The XL750 Transalp has a 5.0-inch TFT display that provides essential riding data, including speed, RPM, gear position, fuel level, consumption details, engine parameters, and selectable riding modes. The interface is user-friendly, allowing riders to personalise the display according to their preferences and navigate it via the screen or the left-handlebar switchgear.

Other convenience features include an automatic turn signal cancellation system and an emergency stop signal, which activates hazard lights during sudden braking to warn surrounding traffic.
