The Afeela 1 EV has two variants — Origin and Signature, and the latter is priced at USD 102,900 (approximately Rs 88 lakh).

The most recent Sony Afeela prototype appears to be a sneak peek at the road-going model, with an improved design that suggests the EV is getting closer to production. The vehicle is anticipated to be released in 2026. 

At the ongoing CES 2022, the Tokyo-based giant has revealed yet another EV prototype, the Vision-S 02 SUV, and also confirmed the formation of a new operating company dubbed Sony Mobility Inc., 'through which the company intends to explore entry into the EV market.'

The Tokyo-based giant has, rather unexpectedly, ventured into the EV space by revealing the Vision-S Concept at the ongoing Consumer & Electronics Show (CES) 2020. However, it's unlikely to ever spawn a production version.
