Gaurav Gill's third-place finish in the first stage of the Otago Rally showcased his outstanding abilities and paved the way for an exciting competition to come.

JK Tyre-backed Gaurav Gill finished sixth in his category ahead of current WRC2 championship leader Andreas Mikkelsen, earning his first points of the season. The Indian rally star finished sixth in a grid comprising 35 competitors.

Gaurav Gill fell victim to the 'Fesh Fresh' dust that got into the engine leading to an inevitable failure on Friday. Gill was a prominent contender for the podium after clocking the fastest time during Shakedown.

Gaurav Gill will participate in the 2022 World Rally Championship in Kenya. Gill will be racing in the Skoda Fabia R5 in WR2 churning out 290 hp with a maximum torque of 425 Newton meters with Brazilian co-driver Gabriel Morales.

Team JK Tyre’s Gaurav Gill, with co-driver Musa Sherif, wrapped up the 2020 INRC in pure style, securing victories in all three rounds to take home his record seventh INRC title. With this, Gill now equals the long-time INRC title record held by VR Naren Kumar.

After a day's break, competitors were once again tearing up the streets of Itanagar in their rally machines during Round 2 of the 2020 INRC season. Team JK Tyre reigned supreme in Itanagar once again as Gaurav Gill and Ammitrajit Ghosh brought home a 1-2 finish in Round 2.

JK Tyre's Gaurav Gill, along with his navigator Musa Sherif, started his 2020 INRC season with a solid win in the opening round – Rally of Arunachal – that concluded recently in Itanagar. Behind them, MRF Tyres-backed privateer Karna Kadur (with co-driver Nikhil Pai) finished in second place.

The Federation of Motor Sports Club of India Awards (FMSCI) Annual Awards took place at the PHD House in New Delhi on 29th February 2020. The first set of awards was given out to Gaurav Gill, Yash Aradhya & Lal Nansunga.

Three-time Asia-Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) winner & six-time Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) winner Gaurav Gill, along with his navigator Musa Sherif, secured a thumping victory in the final round of the 2019 INRC season – Popular Rally.

In a statement released by Gaurav Gill's spokesperson, it's been revealed that Gill has been granted bail from a Jodhpur court in the ongoing INRC Rally Jodhpur accident case. However, the next INRC round has been postponed indefinitely after a PIL has been filed seeking a ban on the event.
