Honda has confirmed that a new FCEV based on the new generation of the CR-V crossover is in the works. The firm intends to attain 100% global car sales via BEVs & FCEVs by 2040 with the help of the upcoming CR-V-based hydrogen electric vehicle.

BMW and Toyota have been working together for some time now, and it looks like their new big project is going to be a next-generation hydrogen fuel cell system capable of producing 370bhp, and fitted into an experimental X5.

Based on Hino’s Profia model, the truck will have two fuel cell stacks, giving it an overall driving range of about 600 kilometres. For increased efficiency and driving range, major weight-saving measures are also being employed.
