2022 Ducati Hypermotard 950 revealed

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 has been updated to meet the new emission standards. The updated supermoto motorcycle will go on sale internationally in the month of June and could likely make its way to the Indian market by the end of 2021

Ducati Hypermotard 950 has been updated to meet the Euro 5 emission norms that equate to the BS6 emission standards in India. Even with the new state of tune, the updated Hypermotard 950 carries the same power and torque figures as before. The 937cc Ducati Testastretta 11-degree V-twin-engine puts out 112bhp at 9,000rpm and 96Nm at 7,250rpm. The engine is mated a six-speed transmission that gets revised ratios for the 2022 model year (MY22).

The design is identical to the predecessor and the Hypermotard 950 continues with supermoto-like styling. Key design features are a flat handlebar, minimum body panels, exposed trellis frame, and a flat seat with twin under-seat exhaust.

The Hypermotard 950 will be available in three variants – standard, RVE, and SP. The Hypermotard 950 RVE sports the “Graffiti” livery while the standard model is offered with the colour Red. The standard and the RVE variant come equipped with Marzocchi upside-down forks with 170mm travel and a Sachs shock absorber at the rear. The top-spec SP variant is offered with long-travel Ohlins suspension, Marchesini forged wheels and a two-way Ducati quick shifter.

The motorcycle also comes equipped with a 4.3-inch TFT screen for instrumentation that is borrowed from the Ducati Panigale V4. The electronic suite includes a wheelie control system, traction control system, cornering ABS, and three riding modes – Touring, Urban, and Sport.

The 2022 Ducati Hypermotard 950 will go on sale in the European market from June 2021. The motorcycle could be launched in India by the end of the year; however, there is no official statement from Ducati India regarding the same.
