Hyundai Creta EV Interior Spotted for the First Time, Shows Kona-like Steering Wheel, Twin Screens and More
The Hyundai Creta EV, which is based on the facelifted version of the Creta SUV, will likely go on sale in the Indian market in 2025.
Ahead of its global debut in 2024, a fresh set of spy shots showing the interior of the Hyundai Creta EV has surfaced online. Modelled on the lines of the Kona EV sold globally, the Creta EV's interior features a twin-screen setup for the infotainment and instrumentation. There is also an all-new, three-spoke steering wheel with a different-looking logo. Speaking of which, the drive selector lever is expected to be mounted on the right side of the steering wheel column. We also expect a host of physical controls, a reworked centre console, a redesigned dashboard, a panoramic sunroof, ventillated front seats, and wireless charging. As far as safety goes, the Hyundai Creta EV will likely offer six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX mounts, a 360-degree surround camera, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
On the outside, the Hyundai Creta EV – first spotted by us – is expected to be nearly identical to the internal combustion engine-powered Creta. However, it will sport a few EV-specific design elements, including a closed-off grille with a front camera, revised front and rear bumpers, and a new pair of aero-optimised alloy wheels. It will also have a front-fender-mounted charging port.
Other bits – quad beam LED headlamps with new LED daytime running lights, a full-width LED light bar with connected LED taillamps, and LED sequential turn signals – will be carried over from the regular Creta.
Hyundai Creta EV: Powertrain
The Hyundai Creta EV's technical specifications are yet to be revealed; however, market reports suggest that Hyundai's new electric car will run on a 55–60kWh battery pack, likely to offer a range of around 550 kilometres on a single charge. Moreover, the EV could come with fast-charging technologies.
Hyundai Creta EV: India Launch
After its global debut in late 2024, the Hyundai Creta EV will likely go on sale in India in 2025. Price-wise, it could fall between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 30 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with the MG ZS EV, the Mahindra XUV400, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX. Hyundai's electric car lineup in India comprises the Kona EV and the Ioniq 5 – which recently received new exterior and interior colour options.
