2020 BMW G 310 R

BMW Motorrad’s entry-level offerings, the G 310 R and G 310 GS are now priced at Rs 2.50 lakh and Rs 2.90 lakh, respectively – an increase of Rs 5,000 from their launch prices in October 2020

Three months after the launch of the updated G 310 R and the G 310 GS, BMW Motorrad India has revised the pricing of both the models. The G 310 R is now priced at Rs 2.50 lakh and the G 310 GS carries a sticker price of Rs 2.90 lakh. At the time of its launch in October, both these motorcycles were priced at Rs 2.45 lakh and Rs 2.85 lakh respectively. In fact, BMW Motorrad India did well to price the 2020 BS6 310 twins at a considerably more affordable cost than their predecessors, despite increased features.

Everything else about the motorcycle remains unchanged from the 2020 model launched in October. The 310 twins are powered by a 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor, which develops 33.5bhp and 28Nm. This engine comes paired with a 6-speed transmission. Suspension components include upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear – with varied travel, considering different purposes of both bikes. Braking power comes from disc brakes at both ends.

Despite the increase in price, the BMW G 310 R is still cheaper than its immediate rival, the KTM 390 Duke, which is priced at Rs 2.70 lakh. With the 390 Adventure priced at Rs 3.10 lakh, the case is similar with the G 310 GS too.

Meanwhile, BMW has also revised the prices of the F 900 R and the F 900 XR. The two models were launched in India in May 2020. Available in a single variant, the F 900 R was priced at Rs 9.90 lakh, but it now demands Rs 10.80 lakh, which is an increase of Rs 90,000.

The F 900 XR was launched in two trims – Standard and Pro – priced at Rs 10.50 lakh and Rs 11.50 lakh, respectively. And they are now priced at Rs 10.95 lakh and Rs 12.40 lakh, respectively.
