Benelli Leoncino 500

Within a few months of its previous hike in prices, Benelli has once again increased the prices of its products in India. The brand's Leoncino 500 and the 502C have gotten an increase of Rs. 16,000 in India.

Just a few days after launching the BS6 version of the TrK 502 ADV, Benelli has launched the BS6 Leoncino 500 today, priced at ₹4.60 lakh for the Steel Grey colour option. The Leoncino Red, however, will attract an extra ₹10,000 as it is priced at ₹4.70 lakh (all price figures are ex-showroom).

The Leoncino 500 was first shown roughly 4 years ago at the 2015 EICMA motor show, but it only made it to India this year. The engine produces a deep sonorous rumble and is super refined. With 47bhp and 46Nm on tap, the performance isn’t ground-breaking, but it’s quick with a strong low & mid-range.

A teaser released by Benelli India tells us that the company is all set to bring in the Leoncino to India on 5th August. It is based on the same motor as the TrK 502 and 502X. The 499.6cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor pushes out 47 horses and 46Nm.

Benelli India has started putting out teasers of its next launch on its social media pages. Based on the comments and responses, we think the bike in question here is the Leoncino 500.
