Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Becomes Safer with Variant Rejig, Now Gets 6 Airbags as Standard
Maruti Suzuki has updated the Grand Vitara for the model year 2025. A new Delta+ Strong Hybrid variant is now a part of the lineup, priced at Rs. 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki has updated the Grand Vitara for the model year 2025, with six airbags as standard. A new Delta+ Strong Hybrid variant is now also a part of the lineup, priced at Rs 16.99 lakh, along with several comfort and convenience features depending on the variant. The Grand Vitara now starts at Rs 11.42 lakh (ex-showroom) and offers two engine options: a 1.5-litre mild hybrid (102bhp) and a 1.5-litre strong hybrid (114.4bhp). The strong hybrid also includes self-charging technology and three driving modes: pure EV, hybrid, and petrol. Transmission options include a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic for the mild hybrid, while the strong hybrid comes with an e-CVT. Additionally, a CNG variant is available, producing 86.6bhp and 121.5Nm using the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine.
Commenting on the introduction of the new 2025 Grand Vitara, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, ‘At Maruti Suzuki, we are always listening to our customers, and regularly refresh our product line-up in-sync with customer demand.’

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: What’s More?
The 2025 Grand Vitara SUV has become more feature-rich after the most recent model year upgrade. For instance, panoramic sunroof options are now available across more variants, including the newly introduced Zeta (O), Alpha (O), Zeta+ (O), and Alpha+ (O). The SUV also offers Auto Purify with PM 2.5 display, an 8-way powered driver seat, an Electronic Parking Brake for 6AT variants, and new LED cabin lamps. It gets rear door sunshades for better cabin comfort. Moreover, the updated Grand Vitara has 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara continues to offer versatile options with Strong Hybrid, Smart Hybrid, and ALLGRIP Select AWD drivetrains, all now meeting E20 fuel standards. The AWD variant has been upgraded with a 6-speed automatic transmission for improved performance.

Other features include a 360-degree camera, head-up display, wireless charging, a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and ventilated front seats.
