Ather Energy has announced several discount offers for this festive season. The two-wheeler EV manufacturer has launched multiple schemes that can be availed in the form of exchange deals, corporate benefits, and festive offers. Notably, these discounts are valid till November 15.

With about 8,062 units sold in August this year, Ather Energy witnessed a slight increase in sales of 2.6 per cent. In comparison, the company managed to sell 7,858 electric vehicles in July 2023.

Following a huge drop in sales in June due to subsidy cuts, the electric two-wheeler industry witnessed a slight rise in registrations in July, with 54,272 units registered, according to data released on the Vahan portal. MoM sales increased by 11% in July, despite price hikes across all products.

The sharp decline in EV sales can be attributed to the revised Fame-II subsidies, thereby leading to a substantial hike in product prices. Ather sold 6,479 units in June 2023, as against 15,256 vehicles in May this year.

Ather Energy will implement an 80% charging cut-off for its Ather Grid public chargers. According to the EV company, this will reduce the long lines at the chargers and assist in fair usage for everyone.

From a small start-up to being a ‘proper’ EV manufacturer, with an annual production of 110,000 scooters, Ather Energy has come a long way. Shivank visits the company’s brand-new Hosur facility to witness the change in Ather’s fortunes.

The Bengaluru-based EV start-up has already commenced operations at their new facility from 2nd January. The plant has the capacity to produce 1,20,000 battery packs and 1,10,000 scooters annually

Including the existing dealer network, with this expansion Ather will have have presence in 27 cities across the country. The phase 2 of expansion also includes smaller cities like Surat, Nagpur, Lucknow and more

Deliveries have only commenced in Bengaluru and Chennai to start with, other major cities will follow soon. Ather Energy has started delivering the Series 1 special edition models as well
