autoX Awards 2024: The new-generation 5 Series marks a shift in BMW’s approach. Arguably, it places as much – if not more – importance on rear seat comfort, which comes at a slight compromise in terms of driving.

While the new 5 Series LWB shares a striking resemblance with its standard counterpart, its extended length is unmistakably noticeable. This marks BMW's second venture into the LWB sedan segment in India.

The new 5 Series will soon be available at dealerships in several foreign markets, according to BMW. Besides this, the upcoming 5 Series Touring was also teased by the automaker. The teaser image of the model shows the silhouette and LED lighting signature of the midsize estate. 

The new BMW 5 Series Sedan and the i5 long wheelbase variant (G68) for China have been recently revealed by the German luxury automaker. The joint venture BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd.'s Dadong facility in Shenyang will solely build the latest versions for the Chinese market.
