We’ve disassembled, and reassembled it. We’ve given it some extreme punishment, and even taken it for a relaxed ride – or two. We’ve watched, studied and judged. And we’ve already told you everything there is to tell. But a motorcycle like this deserves an exercise in style and imagination that we reserve only for a very few.
It’s often said that the Scrambler is positioned between categories. It’s precisely for this reason that we decided to approach each of the Scrambler’s four variants by associating it with each of the elements that make up our world. We also wanted to lay emphasis on a product that marks a new direction for the company itself.
We’ve already been amazed at how quickly this brand is establishing itself across the globe – not because of its last name, but rather the story it has to tell. Hats off to the marketing operation, but most of all to the bike – which has been an injection of life into the market. Worldwide!
SOMETIMES JUST A LITTLE IS ENOUGH
In the next few pages, we’ve photographed the bikes thinking about just what’s possible in an ideal world. Because, if it was possible for Ducati to make a motorcycle so different from everything else, then why couldn’t we take it to the next level and make the bikes fly or ride through fire?
We gave free rein to the imagination – living, for a moment, in a fantasy world where rules don’t exist. It was exciting, sometimes dangerous, but terribly true!
DUCATI SCRAMBLER ICON
- Yellow (‘62 Yellow) or red
- Alloy wheels
- Low plate holder
- Aluminum tank
- Standard exhaust
The yellow of the Icon is the same as Ducati’s original Scrambler of 1962. The production ended with the second, and most popular, series in 1975. It took 40 years to revive the Scrambler, but it still has the same spirit – it’s slender, essential and winks at unpaved roads!
DUCATI SCRAMBLER URBAN ENDURO
- Matt green colour
- Dedicated brown saddle
- Wire wheels
- Standard handlebar
- Headlight with grid protection
- High frontal mudguard
- Engine guard
The Pirelli MT60 tyres match the wire wheels and off-road character of the Urban Enduro perfectly. Check out the cross bar on the handlebars and the high-style fender. The grill to protect the headlight is very extravagant, and so is the aluminium protection under the engine. Mechanically, it’s the same as the other models but it certainly encourages you to take alternative routes to reach your destination.
DUCATI SCRAMBLER CLASSIC
- Colour: Sunshine Orange with black band
- Standard exhaust
- Wire wheels
- Aluminium front fender
- Long anodized rear fender
- High number plate holder
- Dedicated saddle
The Termignoni exhaust is what most distinguishes the character of the Full Throttle. It gives it a new voice to go with a new look.
