Content is still King & great images still captivate

Boy, these anniversary issues are exhausting. But, all the effort means that they’re also rather exciting – well, that’s the idea anyway.

Boy, these anniversary issues are exhausting. But, all the effort means that they’re also rather exciting – well, that’s the idea anyway.

After all, it’s not everyday that you get to test 55 new vehicles at a Grand Prix circuit to your heart’s content, or venture into the high passes of the Himalayas with some of the best adventure vehicles on the planet, or carry the interview of a rock legend who also happens to be one of the most prolific (and fortunate) car collectors around, or preview Ferrari’s first crossover (shudder the thought), or pit the most anticipated bike of the year (which will only hit showrooms in the second half of 2018) against its fiercest competitor, or a lot more that I can’t immediately think of. At any rate, I very much hope that you enjoy reading these features – because that’s what makes all the blood, sweat and tears worthwhile.

In other news, to ensure that we’re still around to celebrate our 22nd anniversary in 11 years time, we’ve recently acquired the autox.com domain. All this time, our URL address was autox.com. And while India is still very much our focus market, a dot-com domain is very important for us to maintain leadership online. Naturally, we’re very pleased to see massive growth in our readership online, especially via our mobile site, which has demonstrated far greater growth than we could ever achieve in print.

With that said, we do hope that you continue to enjoy our epic features – like the adventure to Spiti this month, where Jared opens his heart to the reader and also produces some stunning imagery that truly brings the pages of this issue to life.

Fortunately, whether in print or online, content is still king and great images still captivate – so the same rules apply. That being the case, we’ll continue do what we do best – scour the globe to bring you the absolute best from the automotive world.

And if a machine happens to be a lemon, we’ll tell you about it in the most transparent way possible. After all, we’re the only ones in the industry who actually publish the points of our annual ratings, so you know exactly who’s being awarded what, and why. We certainly hope that you continue to appreciate this transparency, as we race towards another decade-plus of doing what we love to do at your behest.
