Zoomcar has come up with some subscription fee waiver and payment deferment options to cushion the blow on its subscribers during the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown.
Keeping in mind the fact that most private-use vehicles have been rendered useless due to the ongoing lockdown imposed by the central government, self-drive car rental firm Zoomcar has come up with some modifications regarding the subscription fee on its vehicles to reduce the financial burden on its customers.
To do so, Zoomcar is offering three temporary payment options for its subscription program. The first option entitles the subscriber to receive a one-month waiver on the subscription fee, amounting to an average of ₹25,000. For example, by paying off any outstanding dues for April 2020, the subscription fee for May will be waived-off.
The second option allows a subscriber to avail an up-front waiver for the 21-day lockdown period (first lockdown) spanning across March & April 2020 (25th March - 14th April 2020). The second option also has a provision to defer 50% of the payable amount for the following two months.
The third option pertains to subscription termination. In this case, a subscriber can cancel his/her subscription without incurring any penalty. However, depending on case to case, some subscription terminations may attract discounted penalties.
Sharing his thoughts on the initiative, Greg Moran (CEO & Co-Founder – Zoomcar) said, 'The coronavirus pandemic has affected the world at large...in the spirit of collaboration during this tumultuous period, we’re pleased to share the burden with our subscribers and have therefore introduced significant measures to help them manage during this time. These flexible offerings will enable optimal utilisation of our services by our customers as we slowly return to normalcy.'
