On Thursday, the Japanese motorcycle maker announced the appointment of a new chairperson, Eishin Chihana, who has taken charge of Yamaha Motor India Group as the new Chairman.
Eishin Chihana has been appointed the new Chairman of Yamaha Motor India. Eishin has been a part of Yamaha Motors for three decades now. His experience includes managing sales of not only motorcycles but also ATVs, marine engines, personal watercrafts, and generators in international markets.
Chihana has been part of Yamaha Group since 1991 and has looked after sales, marketing, and business management. Part of his role also included motorcycle business operations in markets such as Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, and ASEAN.
Commenting on his new role as Chairman at Yamaha Motor India, Eishin Chihana said, ‘I am very excited to lead Yamaha Motor in the world’s largest two-wheeler market. India is a diverse country with a huge customer base and immense potential. Also, with the majority of its population comprising the youth, it gives us the opportunity to penetrate the market by meeting their evolving expectations through Yamaha’s leading technological advancements and engineering prowess.’
‘We will strongly continue to create new landmark achievements by introducing Yamaha’s globally renowned product range under ‘The Call of the Blue’ brand strategy, to further strengthen our position in the Indian market,’ Eishin Chihana further added.
