Volvo C40 Recharge: India Launch & More Details
Volvo Car India will launch the long-awaited C40 Recharge by the end of 2023. The model is currently on sale in other nations. For our market, the carmaker will use the CKD route to bring the C40 Recharge. Design-wise, the front of the Volvo C40 Recharge will resemble the XC40 Recharge. Sharp headlights with an LED DRL pattern will be equipped with it. Additionally, the doors will have ORVMs added, and the SUV will have large 5-spoke alloy wheels. The forthcoming model will have a sporty appearance, thanks to its roofline, which is reminiscent of a coupe.
The interior of the upcoming model will be similar to the XC40. However, a number of modifications will be included. It will be the first car in the history of the company to not include leather inside. It has been done as Volvo wants to keep the C40 Recharge environmentally friendly. Like the XC40 Recharge, it has a sizable infotainment system in portrait form.
Mechanically speaking, the C40 Recharge comes with two powertrain configurations in the international markets, each with different specifications. A single-motor, rear-wheel drive version produces 235bhp and offers a driving range of 482 kilometre. The other is a dual-motor AWD system that generates 402bhp and offers a driving range of up to 504 kilometre. The AWD model can go from a standstill to 100km/h in 4.7 seconds. There is no update on the price yet, but according to market speculations, the carmaker could price it either close to or more than the XC40 Recharge.
