Windsor, Comet, Hector and More Help JSW MG Motor India Record 20% YoY Sales Growth in November

In November 2024, 70% of JSW MG Motor India’s total sales were from NEVs, with ICE vehicles making up the remaining 30%. This amounts to roughly 4,214 units of NEVs and 1,805 units of ICE models.

JSW MG Motor India has announced its sales figures for the month of November. The company revealed total sales of 6,019 units last month, marking a 20% rise in wholesale numbers compared to the same month last year. According to MG, this growth is primarily attributed to the strong demand for the Windsor EV, the brand's third electric vehicle in India, following the ZS and Comet EVs. The company highlighted that Windsor played a major role in these sales, with 3,144 units sold in November. It also led MG Motor India's electric vehicle sales for the second consecutive month. Furthermore, MG noted that electric vehicles accounted for over 70% of its sales in November, emphasising the increasing significance of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in driving revenue streams. 

MG Windsor EV: Key Sales Driver 

Last month, the Windsor EV achieved positive sales figures, reaching 3,144 units, making it one of the top electric vehicles in India. This versatile CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) represented 52.23% of MG’s total sales for the month. When compared to 4,154 units sold in November 2023, the Windsor EV saw a significant year-on-year (YoY) increase of 44.90%, adding 1,865 more units. However, there was a 14.56% month-on-month (MoM) drop in sales from October 2024, which saw 7,045 units sold, a decrease of 1,026 units. On the contrary, the Windsor EV showed consistent MoM growth, rising from 3,116 units in October 2024 to 3,144 units in November 2024, a modest increase of 0.9%.

MG Cyberster Set to Arrive Next Month

MG Motor is preparing to introduce the much-anticipated Cyberster EV in India by January 2025, marking a major milestone in the brand’s electric vehicle journey. The launch will take place through the MG Select Premium Retail Channel, offering customers a distinctive, high-end purchasing experience.

The vehicle’s exterior features sleek LED headlights with DRLs, a sculpted bonnet, and a split air intake at the front. Moving to the rear end, arrow-shaped tail lights and a split diffuser enhance the design, while the side profile is characterised by sharp lines, bold creases, and diamond-cut alloy wheels ranging from 19 to 20 inches. The EV comes equipped with scissor doors further elevating its visual appeal.

The MG Cyberster will likely be available in single-motor and dual-motor variants, delivering an estimated 500bhp. It can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds and is expected to offer a certified range of around 500 km on a full charge. The EV will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), with prices likely starting at Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom).
