Volvo is offering an attractive discount of Rs 2 lakh on the C40 Recharge in India. The offer is valid until stocks last for units manufactured in 2023. Following the discount, the SUV's price is now Rs 60.95 lakh, down from Rs 62.95 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The electrified Volvo is available in India in a single fully equipped variant, with eight exterior colour options: Sage Green, Silver Dawn, Vapour Grey, Crystal White, Onyx Black, Fusion Red, Cloud Blue, and Fjord Blue. It is considered an alternative to several models in the segment, including the BMW i4, the Ioniq 5, the Kia EV6, and the XC40 Recharge. Volvo C40 Recharge: Powertrain
The Volvo C40 Recharge has a 78kWh battery and two electric motors (one on each axle), which together produce a whopping power output of 403bhp and a peak torque of 660Nm. The electric car's acceleration time from 0 to 100km/h is 4.7 seconds, and its maximum speed is 180km/h.

The C40 Recharge is equipped with dual-zone climate control, a 9-inch vertically oriented touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, a 13-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a panoramic glass roof.

Volvo XC40, C40 Electric SUVs Abandons 'Recharge' Suffix Globally
In February 2024, Volvo revised the names of the XC40 and C40 Recharge for the international market. The former (XC40 Recharge) is now called the EX40, while the latter (C40 Recharge) is termed the EC40. The rebranded EVs are now compatible with the brand's global range of all-electric cars, which includes the EM90, EX90, and EX30. Volvo has yet to announce anything about India, but industry speculations indicate that the EVs here could soon get a new name.
