For November 2023, Volkswagen India has announced significant benefits and discounts to boost sales. These include discounts of up to Rs 80,000 on the Virtus sedan, up to Rs 1 lakh on the Volkswagen Taigun and up to Rs 4.20 lakh on the Tiguan SUV. The benefits consist of cash discounts, exchange bonuses, and loyalty offers, and shall remain valid till November 30. The 2.0 TSI Tiguan with automatic transmission has the highest cash benefit of up to Rs 75,000, exchange bonus of up to Rs 75,000, corporate discount of up to Rs 1 lakh, special benefit worth up to Rs 84,000 as well as a 4-year SVP (Service Value Package) worth up to Rs 86,000, pushing the total figure up to Rs 4.20 lakh. The Volkswagen Tiguan retails at a starting price of Rs 35.17 lakh (ex-showroom).

Volkswagen's Tiguan continues to rival the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, the Skoda Kodiaq, the MG Gloster, the Hyundai Tucson, etc. It gets a BS6 Phase II-compliant, 1984cc, 2.0 TSI engine with four inline cylinders. The engine is mated with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and develops around 187bhp at 4,200 to 6,000rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1,500 to 4,100rpm. In terms of mileage, the SUV yields an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 13.54km/l (up from 12.65km/l), thanks to the switch to BS6 Phase II norms.
Based on the MQB platform, the Volkswagen Tiguan is only offered in the Elegance variant and is available to customers through the company's network of 157 sales and 124 service touchpoints spread across 115 cities in India.
Volkswagen Taigun: up to Rs 1 Lakh Discount
The midsize SUV competes with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and others. Under the hood, it gets a 113bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine as well as a 148bhp 1.5-litre TSI engine. For the month of November, the Taigun gets a cash benefit of up to Rs 40,000 and exchange & loyalty benefits of up to Rs 60,000. Its prices range from Rs 11.62 lakh for the Comfortline 1.0L TSI MT to Rs 19.36 lakh for the GT Plus 1.5L TSI AT (with new features). These prices are ex-showroom.
Volkswagen Virtus: up to Rs 80,000 Discount
Volkswagen's midsize sedan gets the same engine options as the Taigun SUV and goes toe-to-toe with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Honda City. For this month, Volkswagen is offering discounts of up to Rs 80,000 on the Virtus, which include a cash discount of up to Rs 40,000 and exchange & loyalty benefits of up to Rs 40,000. In terms of pricing, the Virtus starts at Rs 11.48 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 18.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Topline and GT Plus variants of the Taigun and the Virtus now get electric front seats and illuminated footwells. A subwoofer and an amplifier are also offered but are reserved for the MT and DSG trims of the Taigun and the Virtus.
