Volkswagen Taigun, Tiguan and More Attract Discounts of up to Rs 3.40 Lakh in March

Volkswagen India is offering massive discounts on models like the Taigun, the Virtus, and the Tiguan. These offers are good through the end of March and come in the form of exchange incentives, corporate discounts, and cash discounts.

Major automakers such as Tata Motors, Hyundai, and Maruti Suzuki announced significant price reductions on their well-liked models for March 2024. The latest addition to this list is the German automaker Volkswagen. The car manufacturer recently revealed that there are massive discount offers available on its model range - the Tiguan, the Taigun, and the Virtus. The perks come in the form of exchange incentives, corporate discounts, and cash discounts. Interestingly, the deals on the mentioned models are valid for potential clients through the end of this month. Not to add, the offers may vary depending on eligibility requirements, stock availability, variant, location, and colour option. Volkswagen Taigun March Discounts 

This month, the Volkswagen Taigun SUV is eligible for savings of up to Rs 1.30 lakh. A cash discount of up to Rs 60,000, exchange bonuses of up to Rs 40,000, and corporate benefits of up to Rs 30,000 are among the available benefits. The model is priced between Rs 11.70 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom figures. 

The Volkswagen Taigun's 1.5-litre four-cylinder and 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine options are the same as those in the Skoda Kushaq. While the latter unit generates 250Nm of maximum torque and 148bhp of peak power, the former engine cranks out 115bhp and 175Nm of torque. The base transmission for both motors is a six-speed manual, but an automatic gearbox with a six-speed torque converter for the 1.0 TSI unit and a seven-speed dual-clutch for the 1.5 TSI mill is also an option. The midsize SUV competes with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

The Tiguan is the carmaker's flagship SUV in India. It carries an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 35.17 lakh. Speaking of the discounts on the model, a 4-year service package worth Rs 90,000, corporate discounts of Rs 1 lakh, and cash discounts and exchange bonuses of up to Rs 75,000 are available to prospective customers.

Regarding the mechanical specifications, it has a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission with all-wheel drive. The car produces 320Nm of peak torque between 1,500 and 4,100rpm and 187bhp at 4,200 to 6,000rpm. The model's ARAI-certified fuel efficiency stands at 13.54km/l. Coming to the interior and feature set, the on-sale Tiguan model sports dual-tone Storm Grey upholstery. There are also seatbelt reminders for each seat as well as a wireless smartphone charger. Furthermore, heated front seats, a motorised tailgate, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, and three-zone climate control are among the added features.

The car has a Level 1 ADAS safety function called Park Assist that makes parking SUVs in tight places easier for drivers. Other safety features comprise a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill descent control, engine drag torque control, three rear headrests, driver alert systems, electronic stability control (ESC), electronic differential lock (EDL), anti-lock braking system (ABS), hill start assist, and six airbags.

Volkswagen Virtus March Discounts

For this month, the benefits for the Volkswagen Virtus total up to Rs 75,000. These include a cash discount of Rs 30,000, exchange benefits worth Rs 30,000, and a corporate discount of up to Rs 15,000. The price starts at Rs 11.56 lakh for the base-spec variant and goes up to Rs 19.15 lakh for the top-of-the-line GT variant. Prices are ex-showroom. In the domestic market, the sedan rivals the likes of the Skoda Slavia and the Honda City.

Under the Performance Line, the model is powered by a 1.5-litre EVO TSI engine with Active Cylinder Cut-off Technology (ACT) and a seven-speed DSG gearbox. It produces 250Nm of peak torque at 1,600–3,500rpm and 148bhp of maximum power at 5,000–6,000rpm. Additionally, the new GT DSG variant offers an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 19.62km/l. There are a total of seven colour options—Reflex Silver, Rising Blue, Candy White, Curcuma Yellow, Wild Cherry Red, and Curcuma Yellow—in the new Virtus GT DSG.

Features-wise, the model is outfitted with a 10-inch large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless AppConnect through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eight standard speakers with immersive sound, wireless mobile charging, My Volkswagen Connect Plus, and a host of other conveniences. Moreover, there are over 40 active and passive safety features on the car. Notably, the Virtus boasts a perfect 5-star GNCAP safety rating.
