Hyundai Motor India registered a total sales of 57,851 units in February 2023, compared to 53,159 units at the same time last year, marking a growth of 8.8%. In domestic sales, the company has witnessed a growth of 6.7%. In February 2023, Hyundai recorded domestic sales of 47,001 units. Last year in the same month, it only sold 44,050 units. Further, in terms of exports, the company has clocked the highest growth at 19.1%. It shipped 10,850 units in February 2023 compared to only 9,109 units in the same month in 2022. Currently, the firm exports to approximately 85 countries, including Africa, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Australia, and more. HMIL has demonstrated significant performance in domestic and international markets. Extensive product lines and effective supply chain management could be possible reasons behind this sales growth. According to reports, the focus of the firm on innovation and sustainability has enabled it to attain such encouraging sales figures.

Sharing views on the February 2023 sales, Mr. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer, of Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “The newly launched Hyundai Ioniq 5, Tucson, Grand i10 Nios, and Aura continue to create excitement in the Indian market space and receive tremendous customer response.''
He further added ''Hyundai Creta building on its strong legacy has set a benchmark registering sales of 8.3 lakh units since inception. The overall sales numbers are showing a positive trend across segments and we are delighted to witness the trust of our beloved customers for Hyundai cars in India.”

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor India reportedly has plans to launch several cars in the country. The Korean manufacturer is presumably working towards meeting the increasing market competition by launching new vehicles, updating existing iterations, and investing in research and development. To boost its sales in the domestic market, Hyundai will reportedly release several models, including the new Verna, the Kona EV facelift, the Stargazer MPV, and more. The new Hyundai Verna will launch on March 21 in India. Bookings for the car are underway at Rs 25,000.
