TVS Motor Company recently announced the sales figures for the month of February. The manufacturer reported total sales of 276,150 units in February 2023, up from 281,714 units in the same period last year. In February this year, total two-wheeler sales were 267,026 units, up from 267,625 units in February 2022. Domestic two-wheeler sales increased by 28 per cent in February 2023, to 221,402 units, from 173,198 units in February 2022. Motorcycle sales were 126,243 units last month, compared to 143,523 units in February 2022, while scooter sales increased by 21 per cent to 104,825 units in February 2023, compared to 86,616 units in February 2022. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMS), which collectively sold 247,175 two-wheelers during the same period, was outsold by the company. The difference in sales between TVS and Honda was 8 per cent, making the former the second-largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the nation. With 394,460 units sold in the previous month, Hero is still in the first place.

Customers have been responding encouragingly to the TVS iQube electric scooter, according to the company. In February 2023, the electric scooter saw its highest-ever sales of 15,522 units, compared to 2,238 units in February 2022. According to the official statement, TVS iQube Electric is now offered in more than 100 cities and 200 touchpoints and has sold more than 10,000 units for four months running.
In contrast to the 107,574 units sold in February 2022, TVS Motor exported 53,405 units in February 2023. In terms of two-wheeler exports, there were 45,624 units in February 2023 compared to 94,427 units during the same time last year. Moreover, 9,124 units were sold by TVS Motor's three-wheeler division last month, compared to 14,089 units in February 2022.
In other news, the TVS Apache Series marks a milestone of 5 million global sales. In October 2020, the company reached the first 40 lakh unit sales milestone after taking roughly 15 years to do so. And now, TVS has succeeded in selling the final 10 lakh motorcycle units in just 28 months.

The TVS Apache series is currently available in over 60 countries and has received ongoing upgrades and feature updates such as Race-Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi), Dual Channel ABS, ride modes, Race Tuned Slipper Clutch, SmartXonnect, and others. As per the bike maker, TVS has 'democratised racing' with the Apache series. The TVS Apache series currently offers bikes in two categories: Naked and Super Sport. The Apache RTR 160, Apache RTR 160 4V, Apache RTR 180, and Apache RTR 200 4V are all part of the RTR series and are available in the Naked motorcycles category.
