The overall sales of the TVS Motor Company rose to 3,06,224 units in the previous month, as opposed to 2,95,308 units at the same time in 2022, resulting in a 4% increase. Also, compared to April 2022, the total two-wheeler sales of the company increased by 5% to 2,94,786 units last month, with domestic sales growing by 23% to 2,32,956 units from 1,80,553 units. Exports-wise, the company reported that last month's overseas shipments stood at 71,663 units, compared to April 2022's 113,427 units. It further announced that the two-wheeler exports, however, totaled 61,830 units, down from 99,489 units the same month last year, denoting a 37.85% YoY decrease. TVS Motor April Sales 2023
In April 2023, the company's sales increased 4% year-over-year and declined 3.45% month-over-month. According to the firm, the TVS iQube experienced phenomenal demand, and its sales surpassed the significant threshold of 1 lakh units. As far as motorcycle sales are concerned, the company recorded a 9.59% YoY growth to 1,52,365 units in April 2023 from 1,39,027 units sold in April 2022. According to the firm, positive results were seen in MoM sales. The month-over-month sales increased by 7.87% over the 1,41,250 units sold in March 2023.
In the scooters segment, the year-over-year sales increased to 1,07,496 units, up 5.17% from the 1,02,209 scooters sold in April 2022. However, compared to the 1,28,817 units sold in March 2023, MoM sales fell by 16.55%.
Sales of electric scooters also boosted by 338.52% year-over-year. In this market, the iQube EV had sales of 6,227 units, an increase from just 1,420 units in April 2022. The MoM sales, on the other hand, decreased by 59.47% from 15,364 units sold in March 2023.

TVS Motor Company introduced the new Raider motorcycle with a single seat for the Indian market. There is only one Striking Red paint scheme choice for the TVS Raider single-seat commuter bike. At Rs 93,719 (ex-showroom), the new base model Raider is Rs 1,000 less expensive than the split-seat model and Rs 7,000 more affordable than the top-spec variant. For the uninitiated, the split-seat model costs Rs 94,719, and the SmartXonnect version retails at Rs 1.01 lakh in our market. Both are ex-showroom prices.
