TVS Motor Company has registered a 34 per cent rise in their total sales in February 2024. The Chennai-based company sold 3,57,810 two-wheelers last month as against 2,67,026 units in February 2023. Of these total two-wheelers, 2,67,502 units were delivered to home buyers, while the remaining 90,308 units were exported to other regions of the world. That being so, the company's domestic two-wheelers made up a 21 per cent increase over 2,21,402 units sold in February 2023.

The cumulative sales (two-wheelers + three-wheelers) of the company stood at 3,68,424 units in February 2024, reporting a 33 per cent rise over 2,76,150 units dispatched during the corresponding month of 2023. Nearly 1.85 lakh (1,84,023, to be precise) motorcycles went on sale during February 2024 as against 1,26,243 samples in February 2023, registering a growth of 46 per cent. Scooters, on the other hand, represented a growth of 26 per cent, with sales increasing from 1,04,825 units in February 2023 to 1,32,152 units in February 2024.
As for its three-wheelers, TVS registered sales of 10,614 units in February 2024 compared to 9,124 units in February 2023 (Growth:16 per cent). Meanwhile, in the electric vehicle space, the company reported selling 17,959 units last month, in comparison to 15,522 units sold in February 2023.

In terms of exports, the sales surged from 53,405 units in February 2023 to 98,856 units in the same month last year, denoting an 85 per cent increase. Two-wheeler exports registered a growth of 98 per cent, with sales going from 45,624 units in February 2023 to 90,308 units in February 2024.

In related news, the Raider 125, TVS' first bike in the 125cc segment, has surpassed the 7 lakh unit sales mark in the Indian market. TVS launched the Raider 125 in September 2021 and, up until January 2024, a total of 7,14,484 Raiders went to home buyers. Meanwhile, the 3,00,000-unit production milestone came in May 2023, more than 19 months after the bike was launched.
Powering the TVS Raider 125 is a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The power and torque figures stand at 11.2bhp and 11.2Nm, respectively. According to the company, the motorcycle can go from a halt to 60km/h in 5.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 99km/h. The bike is currently offered in three variants: SX, Split Seat, and Single Seat, the last of which was launched in April 2023.
