The Jupiter, TVS' flagship offering in 110cc and 125cc guises, has crossed the 67 lakh-unit sales milestone in the domestic market. TVS' cumulative sales from September 2013 through July 2024 total 67,39,254 units.

TVS, which launched the Jupiter 110 in 2013, has taken almost 11 years to record the sales milestone. It drove past the 5 lakh-unit sales mark in 2015 and crossed the 10 lakh-unit milestone a year later. It hit its 20,00,000th sales milestone in September 2017 and saw its 50,00,000th vehicle delivery in June 2022. And to celebrate the 50 lakh-unit sales milestone, TVS launched the special-edition version of the Jupiter Classic in September 2022. The 60 lakh-unit sales milestone came about in October 2023.

The scooter outperformed the Raider 125 (4,78,443 units), the XL (4,81,803 units), the Apache series (3,78,112 units), and the NTorq 125 (3,31,865 units) in FY2024. TVS Jupiter: What Makes it a Best-seller?

What has kept the scooter relevant and competitive is the fact that TVS has been bringing in continuous upgrades of the scooter, with new features and variants, the most recent of which was announced yesterday (August 22). For MY2024, TVS reintroduced the Jupiter 110 in a new avatar.

Ranging from Rs 73,700 (ex-showroom), the Jupiter 110 comes with a fresh design, more features, and a new engine paired with an integrated starter generator (ISG). The new scooter comes in four variants: Drum, Drum Alloy, Drum SmartXonnect, and Disc SmartXonnect.

Powering the 2024 Jupiter 110 is a new 113.5cc single-cylinder engine, which develops 8bhp at 6,500rpm and 9.8Nm of peak torque. Thanks to an 'iGo Assist' performance boost, the 2024 Jupiter 110 delivers more power and torque than the outgoing version. The Jupiter 125, on the other hand, uses a 124.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with 8bhp at 6,500rpm and 10.5Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. It starts at Rs 79,299 (ex-showroom).
