TVS Motor Company has announced that it sold 844,863 units of the Jupiter scooter in FY2024, creating the best-ever domestic sales record for TVS. This represents a 16% increase compared to 7,29,546 units sold in FY2023. Furthermore, the TVS Jupiter's cumulative domestic sales have surpassed 6.43 million (64.30 lakh) units since the scooter went on sale in India over a decade ago, and TVS has exported more than 80,000 Jupiters between FY2014 and FY2024.

Offered in 110cc and 125cc versions, the Jupiter is currently TVS' best-selling scooter in the company's two-wheeler lineup, outperforming the Raider 125 (4,78,443 units), the XL (4,81,803 units), the Apache series (3,78,112 units), and the NTorq 125 (3,31,865 units) in FY2024.

What has kept the scooter relevant and competitive is the fact that TVS has been bringing in continuous upgrades of the scooter, with new features and variants, the most recent of which was in October 2023 when TVS launched the new SmartXonnect variant. Like the NTorq 125, the Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect gets Bluetooth connectivity for displaying call and text notifications, voice-assisted functions, turn-by-turn navigation, and over-speeding alerts. Moreover, it has a fully digital TFT screen, which can be connected to your smartphone through Bluetooth.

As of now, the TVS Jupiter can be had with two engine options – a 109.7cc single-cylinder and a 124.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, both of which use ETFi (fuel-injection) technology. The former makes 7.77bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.8Nm of torque at 5,500rpm, whereas the latter produces 8bhp at 6,500rpm and 10.5Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm.

Price-wise, the TVS Jupiter 110cc currently ranges from Rs 73,340 for the base model to Rs 89,748 for the top-spec Jupiter Classic. Meanwhile, the TVS Jupiter 125 is priced from Rs 86,405 for the Drum-Alloy variant to Rs 96,855 for the SmartXonnect. All prices are ex-showroom.
