Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that there will be a hike in the prices of its select models starting April 1, 2024. It said that it would enforce a hike of 1 per cent across certain variants of specific models, on the back of the escalating input costs and operational expenditures. This will be Toyota's second price hike, following an earlier price increase of up to Rs 42,000 across the Innova Hycross, Crysta, and Urban Cruiser Hyryder vehicles.

Speaking of Toyota models, the Innova Hycross will soon have a new top-spec non-hybrid variant in its lineup. Although the launch date is not known, market reports indicate that it will go on sale in the first week of April. Bookings for the new variant can be made through Toyota's official India website for a token amount of Rs 50,000. The new GX(O) non-hybrid will slot between the petrol-only GX grade and the powerful hybrid VX trim levels and will get a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill mated to a CVT automatic transmission.

Although the firm has yet to disclose the price of the Innova Hycross GX(O), expect it to retail at Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom). As of now, the premium MPV comes in GX, VX, VX(O), ZX, and ZX(O) trim levels.
