Toyota Rumion MPV Waiting Period Comes Down to 2 Months in India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has adjusted the waiting periods for its cars as of this month, showing a notable decrease in the delivery timelines for various models. In September 2024, the Toyota Rumion's waiting period stands at up to 2 months (8 weeks), a significant improvement from earlier in the year when it peaked at 8 months (32 weeks) in March. The Toyota MPV is offered in six variants: S MT/AT, G MT, V MT/AT, and S MT CNG. As for available paint jobs, buyers can choose from a variety of options, including Café White, Enticing Silver, Rustic Brown, Iconic Grey, and Spunky Blue.

Toyota Rumion MPV: Powertrain Options
The Toyota Rumion, like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, is equipped with a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine, featuring Neo Drive (ISG) technology. This family MPV offers a fuel efficiency of 20.5km/l, similar to the Maruti Suzuki model, while the CNG variant, fitted with a factory-installed kit, delivers an impressive 26.11km/kg. For transmission, the Rumion provides a choice between a six-speed automatic and a five-speed manual gearbox.
Toyota Rumion MPV: Design Cues
While the Toyota Rumion shares its platform with the Ertiga, several design elements distinguish it aesthetically from the popular MPV. It features a redesigned front grille with a mesh pattern, replacing the original projector headlamps on each side. Updates have also been made to the front and rear bumpers, along with new alloy wheels. Additionally, a seven-seater version of the Rumion is available in the Indian market.

Inside the cabin, the Toyota Rumion features faux wood accents on its dual-tone black and beige dashboard. It also offers various comfort features like cruise control, automatic climate control, and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For safety, the MPV comes equipped with side airbags, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

Toyota Rumion MPV: Price Range
The Toyota Rumion is priced between Rs 10.44 lakh and Rs 13.73 lakh in India. Both prices are ex-showroom figures. In the market, the Rumion MPV faces competition from models like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6 within its segment.
