Toyota Posts 28% Growth in FY25; Over 30,000 Units Sold in March 2025
Toyota posted an 11% YoY growth in March, selling 30,043 units, up from 27,180 units in March 2024. Out of the total, 28,373 units were sold in the domestic market.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) sold 3.37 lakh units in FY25, registering a 28% growth over the 2.64 lakh units sold in FY23-24. The company credited the success to its customer-first approach and diverse product range. In March, TKM recorded an 11% year-on-year growth, selling 30,043 units, compared to 27,180 units in March 2024. Of the total sales, 28,373 units were sold domestically, while 1,670 units were exported. This steady growth reflects Toyota's solid foothold in the market and its relentless dedication to offering quality and innovation tailored to the ever-changing demands of Indian buyers.
Commenting on the strong performance, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement said, ‘The growth has been fuelled by the strong and consistent adoption of SUVs MPVs and hybrids, further reinforced by robust export momentum and deeper engagement in Tier II and III cities—highlighting the increasing relevance of our diverse product portfolio.’

He also added, ‘Our multi-pathway approach, complemented by customer-centric initiatives like T-CARE, has empowered us to deliver meaningful value at every stage of the ownership journey. TKM's Success Drivers in FY24-25
Toyota saw notable sales growth, with a 35% rise in SUV and MPV sales, driven by strong demand in India. Exports surged by 59%, highlighting India’s role as a key global manufacturing hub. The brand strengthened its presence in Tier II and III cities, enhancing customer access and engagement. Toyota enhanced customer experiences through services like T CARE and Toyota Mobility Solutions. A refreshed lineup, including updated and new models, met shifting consumer needs.

Models like the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross performed exceptionally well, while recent launches contributed to sustained sales growth. This combination of product innovation, expanded reach, and improved services reinforced Toyota's growing presence in the Indian market.
